Stepper Motor Controller

Electro Control offers Stepper Motor Controller. The Electro Control/Electro Device type SMC controllers are designed for driving stepper motor for accurate positioning and indexing of rotary parts in packaging machines. The motion of the stepper motor is started by limit switches, proximity switch or by light barrier sensors. The stepper motor is driven by the controller in steps of 0.9 or 1.8?. The desired number of steps can be set by a thumbwheel switch. The motor is stopped after moving through the set number of steps, or, by sensor, which gives a signal when the operation has been completed. Rotational accuracy of up to ? 0.9 can be obtained. Applications: tube orientation in tube filling machines; film feeding in bag making machines; label dispensing in labelling machines; and rotary coding with registration.
