Ming Chang Traffic Parts Manufacturing Co Ltd has introduced a new design of chains for the next generation. Often it has been found that the current stainless-steel chain have problem with insufficient tensile strength. This new chain offers double the tensile strength for the same size. The structure of outer and inner plate which is locked on to each other, will increase the tensile strength. Due to the "lock on" between the outer plate and inner plate this will divide the shear stress especially on heavy load or tough environment. Mega chain is a stainless steel chain with specific outer and inner plates. The inner plate has a deep drawn lip forming a support in a drawn contour of the outer plate. When compared to a standard chain the bush and pin is extended into the deep drawn lip and are long thus than a standard bush and pin. This will result in a larger bearing area.
