These stackers from Macneill Engineering are manufactured under technical licence from Sumi-Australia (Pty) Ltd. Fully floating gear transmission steers the units, via steering arm mounted on 90 mm diameter pivot tubes. The entire units are ball and roller bearing mounted for light steering effort, and are fitted with upper and lower thrust bearings. Heavy coil spring ensures maximum traction and large diameter castors support the unit"s weight. The unit"s construction chassis are integral welded steel structures built to take severe use by distributing stresses. Heavy gauge steel plates and continuous seam welding is used throughout chassis. Safety features include: wide view mast, infinitely variable speed controls, belly button safety reversing switches, ergonomically safe butterfly-type speed actuation, deadman braking applied disc brake and cut-off power, wrap-around hand guards, hydraulic overload protection, automatic high-speed cut-out when forks raised above 1.8 m, load backrest, etc.
