Spring Driven Cable Reeling Drum

Electro Zavod offers Spring Driven Cable Reeling Drum. Spring driven cable reeling drums are driven by special helical springs. Generally springs have a limited life. Due to continuous winding and unwinding operation normal fatigue sets in. If the best material is used, the springs will show signs of fatigue after approx 40,000 to 50,000 movements. This metal fatigue can lead to breakage of the springs. Any small oscillation of the spring to be considered as one movement. There are two types of spring drums:
Hose Reeling Drum
Hose Reeling Drums are driven by springs. In the hose reeling drum, in place of slipring unit, a rotary valve is fitted. This rotary valve is suitable for air, water, gas etc.
Slipringless Cable Reeling Drum
Slipringless Cable Reeling Drums employ two drums and between these two drums the trailing cable is coiled without any intermediate sliprings or contacts.
