Speed Reducers

Grandson Gear Technologies offers Speed Reducers. These are manufactured in different types and sizes and ratio in adopter types as well as in solid foot mounted type and vertical flange mounted type of industrial requirement. These are robust, efficient and reliable due to standard design and construction. These are available in a range from 28.60 mm to 431.80 mm (1.1/8" to 17") centre distance with ratio of 5:1 to 70:1 of reductions. Construction details: the gear housing is made of close grain cast iron material with maximum cooling fins on both sides with maximum surface are covered to atmosphere for improved efficiency. Bearing housing is perfectly bored to achieved proper alignment. The housing is totally dust proof and oil tight. The worm wheel is made of cast phosphorous bronze, on centre cast iron boss, which is pressed and keyed on the ground and polished high graded alloy steel made shaft which can permit high torque and bending load. The teeth of worm wheel are accurately hobbed on gear hobbing machine by specially made as worm diameter hobbed cutter. The worm is solid with shaft, of single piece design made of high graded alloy steel, accurately generated, hardened, ground. The worm and worm wheel shaft are supported on ball or roller bearings of standard make of ample capacity to take rotating and thrust load. Oil seals are used of superior quality to ensure oil tight fitting. Specification: These speed reducers totally conform to (IS 3734-1966 for worm gearing) IS and BS standards wherever applicable (BS 721:1963 worm gearing).
