Shaft machining lathe

Chaitanya Machine Tools, manufacturer of heavy duty lathes, offers a 3-in-1 shaft machining lathe. This new version of lathe comes with special features to enable complete turning, grinding and keyway milling of the job in single mounting. High grade alloyed CI, planer type 42" wide and 32" long in one-piece bed with triple flat and double V hardened guide ways, and Turcite-B coated saddle, with 750 mm wide bearing length. Heavy duty all geared headstock with 36" height of center and with motorized lubrication system, provides 8 different spindle speeds in the range of 6 to 100 RPM. The A/2-15 type hardened and ground spindle mounted on two taper roller and one deep groove bearing to withstand heavy load. Electro magnetic clutch and brake is provided on spindle for proper positioning and aligning of the job during keyway milling operation. Heavy-duty oil bath type Norton gearbox provides metric threads from 2 to 60 mm pitch and Withworth threads from 0.050 to 15 TPI. The lathe is powered with 40 HP main drive motor with electro magnetic brake, and other seven motors, with special interlocking facilities to ensure fool proof operation of all features.
