Sensor/actuator terminal blocks

A sensor can be wired completely using Wago Series 270 terminal blocks that are only 5 mm wide. Even the 4-conductor version is only 83 mm long, the 3-conductor version only 68 mm. The Wago Series 270 terminal blocks are an ideal solution, especially for sub distribution boards or distribution boxes that are sited close to machines. Limited space, persistent vibrations and unfavorable assembly conditions characterise these applications. Front-entry wiring makes the assembly easier and the original Cage Clamp connection for conductor cross sections from 0.08 to 2.5 mm? guarantees a vibration-proof connection. The jumper system for the power supply is something special. The jumper slots are extremely small and can accommodate a new type of uninsulated push-in type jumper bar. The jumpers are still protected against accidental contact. Jumpers are available from 2-way up to a 17-way version for power distribution. Since the protection against accidental contact is guaranteed by the design of the terminal block, no protective measures have to be taken with the jumper, making the system very cost-effective. On the signal level the jumper positions are compatible with the Series 870 rail-mounted terminal blocks with Cage Clamp compact connection.
