Safety switch - miniature, non-contact

The new Furtif Opto2S is a miniature stand-alone coded and non-contact safety switch. It detects the opening of doors and crankcases of dangerous machinery. The Opto2S is a miniature switch and its small housing fits in tight access areas. It has been designed to replace any mechanical or reed contact switch. This switch reaches the safety category 1 alone (according to EN954-1 standard). If connected to the company"s AWAX safety module, it can reach a category 4 (according to EN954-1) in manual reset mode. The Opto2S uses the entirely electronic process known as ACOTOM2(r). This unique system is an electronic double decoding system, which guarantees real fraud protection. It has two NO safety lines protected by a fast fuse of 250 mA. The mounting and the adjustment are easy thanks to the integrated "L" shaped mounting bracket and the oblongs holes. Its design allows an easy cleaning and perfect waterproofing (IP67) to avoid the bacteriological development for example. Its small size allows protecting the design of the machine. There is an authorised misalignment in all axes and the tolerance is constant. These switches are suitable for all kind of industries (automotive, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, etc) and are especially adapted to the food industry. This switch is available in polycarbonate housing and the UL/CSA approval is in process.
