Rotation monitors

S & S Systems manufactures Speed & direction of rotation monitors for all types of rotating equipments like pumps, fluid couplings, etc. These instruments are very useful for boiler feed pumps and CW pumps. They transmit a proportional 4-20 mA DC signal corresponding to the rotational speed in RPM in addition to local indication and also provide relay contacts corresponding to the direction of rotation. These contacts can be used to operate the discharge valve/AOP/provide warning signal on DCS/ field, in order to stop reverse rotation. This saves downtime and possible damage to the bearings. These instruments can be offered as integral units for both RPM measurement, and transmission and direction monitoring, or as separate units, one each for RPM and direction of rotation. These instruments are housed in weatherproof enclosures and also in flame proof enclosures depending upon site requirements.
