ROTARY SWITCHES

Switch Control (India) offers Rotary Switches. It is a cam operated device. It is defined as sets of contacts arranged to make and break in a sequential fashion by which the connected outputs will close and open the circuits. The main areas of operation are in making and breaking and isolation of power circuits and switching of auxiliary circuits. The cam, which does the function of closing and opening of switch, have multiple positions (rotary movements) which allow multiple circuit functions controlled through single operations. These switches are suitable for AC applications. The number of positions and the switching angles are flexible and will offer the user a choice to decide based on the requirement. Another advantage, which can be derived, is the flexibility in the contact block selection, which gives the user the option of selection of number of contact as per the requirement. The choice also covers the rating of the applicable operational duty. This will ensure that the right switch is chosen for the right application. It also offers a design flexibility to assemble complex switching programmers to customise any switching application. Its basic operation mechanism depends on the type of application. Quick-make, quick-make-quick-break and spring return operating mechanisms can be chosen. Double butt contacts with silver bimetal on copper ensure better making and breaking over conventional knife-edge switches. These switches have versatile mounting options to suit any kind of application.
