Roll forming machine

Marvel India Machinery has introduced Roll-o-Matic, a versatile, high precision, high speed, light weight roll forming machine for producing Pittsburgh, double seam and other locks or profiles. The Pittsburgh lock, a most complex shape, is always produced on the in-built (inboard) roll. Sets of rolls for other locks are mounted on the extended shafts, if necessary by changing rolls. In comparison with welding or riveting, the work is produced by unskilled labour at much higher speeds and there is no distortion even on the gauges. No adjustment is needed on different gauges other than turning the dial gauge. This regulates the width for mating pieces. The feed speed is 25 feet per minute on Model ROM-5. Fabrications made on these machines are rigid, free from distortion, and have a uniform, factory-made appearance. No storage space is needed, as there is no need for stocking pre-fabricated fittings. It often becomes possible to use thinner gauges of sheets than for welded fabrications, because of the increased strength of the joint, and with the much faster output, it cuts costs by up to 50 per cent. All rolls, gears and shafts are case hardened and ground. Needle bearings are used on all the shafts. The side plates are jig bored for accuracy in spacing of rolls and mesh of gears. The machines are light in weight and compact in design, allowing free movement for site work.
