5th Generation Technologies Inc, Toronto, Canada, and its Indian strategic partner Ashok Brothers Impex (ABI), New Delhi, are jointly introducing a new robotic system -F3-to the Indian market. Manufactured by their Canadian associate, CRS Robotics, Canada, the all new F3 robot is a cost-effective solution for machine loading, dispensing, deburring, trimming/ drilling and product testing. F3 is a six-axis robot with a payload capacity of 3.5 kg, repeatability of 0.05 mm and a reach of 710 mm. F3 uses state-of-the-art AC servo motors, absolute encoders for position feedback, and heavy duty harmonic drives in each of its axis. F3 has been designed to provide maximum speed of operation, dexterity and reliability in its class. Programming the F3 is very user-friendly-a very powerful programming language called RAPL3 makes system integration absolutely easy-thereby minimising the installation cost. F3 is available at an extremely attractive introductory price until December 1997.
