Switzer Instrument now offers RFID Solutions with their 32 years of process instrumentation manufacturing experience. Radio frequency identification (in short RFID) is a non-contact, automatic method for identifying an object and its movements using radio frequency signals between tags affixed to the product or object and readers which track the tags. These are the main components used in the identification process. Applications include movement of gas cylinders, JIT inventory control, identification of parking yard vehicles and air line cargo, vehicle path tracking, production line ‘pick & place’ tasks, raw material identification in warehouse or open yards.
