Stelmec Switchgear manufactures Relay & control panel boards to suit requirements of control, instrumentation and protection. It manufactures all types of panels to suit specific needs of customers: Simplex type panels - for relays, meters, selector switches and other operative/signalling devices mounted on front panel and fuses, terminals, etc, mounted inside; Duplex type panels - for meters, selector switches and other operative/signalling devices are mounted on front panel and protective relays are mounted on the rear panel. The panel is provided with a walkway for access to internal components and terminals of front and rear mounted devices; and Control desks - a desk shape enables the operator to sit in front and perform various operations. The designing and sizing of individual panel is tailor-made to suit customer requirements. Construction: the panels are constructed using superior quality sheet steel. Formed construction provides a sturdy and lightweight design. All fabricated parts are thoroughly cleaned using seven-tank pre-treatment process (involving degreasing, derusting, phosphatizing and passivation) and coated with primer followed by two coats of paint. The panel doors are fully gasketed for protection against dust/vermin entry. The panel enclosure has been successfully tested for degree of protection IP-53 at ERDA, thus providing assurance of dust and vermin proof construction.
