Sri Ramamaruthi Vermiculite Mines offers Raw Vermiculite in different sizes (4-8 mm, 2-4 mm, 1-2 mm and 0.5-1 mm.) These vermiculites which belong to the phyllosilicate group of minerals expand multiple times of their original size. Special sizes are also supplied as per customer requirements. The company also takes special processing orders to cater to specific customer requirements. The vermiculite is also used in various industries such as foundation insulation and steel industry for purposes like moulded shapes, bonded with sodium silicate for use in high-temperature insulation, refractory insulation, fireproofing of structural steel and pipes. They are also used as loose-fill insulation. They are used as packing material where they are valued for their high absorbency. Their other uses are lightweight aggregate for plaster, proprietary concrete, compounds, firestop mortar and cementitious spray fireproofing, component of the interior fill for firestop pillows, along with graphites and in commercial handwarmers.
