TransTech Projects offers Pump Test Bench Automation. Complete automation solutions is offered for Pump Test Bench consisting of 1. Evaluation of existing Field Instruments. 2. Selection of relevant Field Instruments such as Flow Meters, Suction and Discharge Valves, Pressure Transmitters, RPM Transmitters, Energy Meters. 3. Vendor evaluation, assistance in procurement, inspection of the Field Instruments. 4. Installation of Field Instruments along with laying of Cable Trays and Cables. 5. Selection and procurement of PLC. 6. Design and procurement of PLC Panel. 7. Design and procurement of Starter panel. 8. Software consisting of the following features: A Graphical User Interface for displaying runtime values of the Field Instruments; Facility to select the type of test (i.e. Shop Test, Inspection Test, NPSH Test etc.); Ability to integrate with existing software for Work Orders, Order Acknowledgements etc. This eliminates the duplication of effort required to enter the details such as pump type, model no., serial number, motor model no. etc; Check that all permissives are satisfied before actually starting the pump; Facility to carry out the testing in Manual or Automatic Mode. In both modes, the pump is started through program, only if the permissives are satisfied. In Manual Mode, the operator will enter the desired Test point (normally in terms of desired flow) Manually. The program will then manipulate the valves a way such that the desired flow is achieved. The operator then decides whether the flow is stable enough, and records the readings. He will then go ahead and enter the next Test point. In Automatic mode, the desired Test points will be included in a file. The program will manipulate the valves to achieve the desired flow, and then the program itself checks whether the flow has stabilized. It will record the data once the flow has stabilized, and will then move on to the next data point. This will be continued till the test is completed; Generation of Reports for each test; Generation of Sample Calculation Report; Generation of Pump Characteristics Curves; Templates for entering Pump model data, instrument calibration data, motor performance curves; and Interface with Energy Meters over Modbus protocol. Benefits of Pump Test Bench Automation are: 1. Better accuracy. 2. Increased repeatability. 3. Increased speed of testing. In the Automatic mode, typically, one test can be completed within 5 minutes. 4. Less labor intensive. In the Automatic mode, the entire testing is carried out without any operator interaction. The operator only needs to connect / disconnect pump and motor. 5. Better acceptability with inspection agencies.
