Pressure swing adsorption air dryer

Heatless pressure swing adsorption air dryers from Summits Hygronics have non-lubricated switching valves that direct wet compressed air entering the drying tower from pre and oil removing filters at the lower end. The designs of the towers prevent fluidisation of the desiccant. Approximately ten percent of the dry air is directed into the regenerating tower to depressurise it to atmospheric pressure and used to regenerate the desiccant. Once the moisture is removed the purge air exits through a muffler. Solenoid valves control the switching and exhaust valves. Based on the energy management controller, the dryer shifts towers after a preset time and minimises purge loss.
