Siemens offers Power Contactors/ Bi-metal relays, SiNext. It is motor control gear type. It has been designed to operate with an enhanced performance at higher ambient temperatures up to 60°C, with long electrical life up to 2.4 million operations. It is of international standards. The product range comprises: 3TR power contactors - 9 to 475A AC3; and 3UR bimetal relays - from 0.1 A to 630 A. Benefits and features: suitable for operation in ambient temperature, up to 60°C without any deration, hence no need to use a higher rating contactor; faster termination with Siemens patented SIGUT termination; high electrical life up to 2.4 million operations, minimises the cost per switching, protects the motor even at higher ambient without causing nuisance tripping; a pre-engineered solution to ensure the plant and personnel protection in the event of a fault; Safety for man and machine - unique arc chamber interlock prevent accidents during maintenance, entire material used is fire retardant and free from cadmium, a substance that is hazardous to human health; and globally acceptable.
