Richfield Automation offers Power And Free Conveyors. It is very useful for progressive assembly and testing operations. The designs are fully modular, enabling extensions to existing line and layout reconfiguration. The basic design is such that upgradation of operations from manual to fully automatic is feasible. The work piece carriers are free to move between or stop at predetermined stations, while the conveyor is always powered on. The progressive operations are thus carried out in the asynchronous mode, unlike the fixed (indexing) sequence of a transfer line. Unit loads of up to 40 kg - such as appliances and up to 150 kg - such as industrial goods with palletised fixtures, can be conveyed smoothly round the clock. The assembly/ testing operations carried can be fully manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic. Various modules such as stop gates, pop up tables, auto lift tables, diverters, spurs, auto loader unloader are offered. Structure for illumination, racks for storage can be built in, added on as per requirements.
