Portable Hardness Tester

Fine Manufacturing Industries has developed a hardness tester, Model ALP-1. It is a small portable machine that weighs around 1 kg. It is suitable for testing hardness of aluminium, aluminium alloy, copper, brass and other soft materials having hardness from 25 to 150 BHN (10 mm ball/ 500 kg load). ALP- 1 can be used in any position. The hardness reading is indicated on the dial gauge which is divided into a hundred graduations. The thickness of material should be minimum 1 mm. For testing the surface, simply exert a light pressure against the machine so that the spring loaded indicator penetrates into the material.
