Sharmasons Sakova Instruments (P) Ltd, Ghaziabad (UP), manufactures compact and portable DC high voltage test sets for on site testing cables, control panels, transformers, generators, motors etc. The desired DC voltages are applied to the "system" while the meters provided help in determining the insulation and dielectric strength of the "system". It is also useful for conducting the dielectric absorption test for polarisation index and step voltage test. For safety of the operating personnel, earth connection and zero start interlocks and automatic tripping at overload are provided.
