Planetary Gearboxes

Vortex Engineering Works offers Planetary Gearboxes. It is designed for direct mounting onto the servo motors for applications in almost any field of automation. The combination of servomotors with gearboxes constitutes a co-axial drive unit, the motor output shaft is connected to the sun gear of the gearbox which in turn drives the planetary gears inside a planetary carrier rotating inside the internal ring gear, resulting in the distribution of the transmitted forces evenly among the planetary gears. Wide range of reduction ratios are available, i.e., 3 to 100 for the standard PG series and 3 to 1000 for the PGE economy series gearboxes. Special features: Robust output shaft allowing high axial loads; high radial forces and extreme tilt resistance; high positional accuracies using ground highly accurate gears; permanent sealing with high quality viton shaft seals; high torsional rigidity and low running noise; high acceleration torques permissible using gearbox internal interlocking; low gearbox temperatures and minimal power loss using smallest seal dia; and backlash free power transmission by clamping coupling of motor shaft.
