Piston Rods

Electro Coats offers Piston Rods. These are made from hard chrome plated steel bars, for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, and other applications. The company also offers tie rods and guide shafts for various machine building industries and metering bars for paper mills. Brief specifications are as follows: product range - Ø10 mm to Ø100 mm; material grade - EN-8D; plating thickness - 15 to 25 microns; chrome surface hardness - 60-65 RC; surface smoothness - RA 0.2 to 0.3 microns; tolerance - f7; and straightness - 0.2 mm/metre. Steel bars are available in standard sizes, chemistries and plating thickness, and can be used in construction machinery, material handling equipment, farm equipment, industrial machinery, paper mills and almost anywhere, where precision, top quality piston rods are required. The company has in-house facilities for hard chrome plating of bars, and these are processed under strict quality control and geometrical parameters such as roundness, chrome thickness and surface finish, etc.
