PID Temperature controller

Adroit Control Engineers offers Model 600, a variant of microprocessor based PID controller manufactured by Gefran SpA, Italy. They are available in 48 x 48 mm (1/6 DIN) size & are manufactured using surface mounting technology. This single loop controller has a sample time of 120 m sec and 0.2% full scale precision. The main input for process variable is universal and many types of signals can be connected and configured with thermocouples, thermistor (PTC, NTC), resistance thermometer, various DC voltages, mA, etc. The type of input is selected from the faceplate lexan membrane keys (fully IP 65 protected). No external shunts are required. It has 4 keys and two line green LED 4 digit display (10 and 7 mm height); also 4 red signal LEDs for logic or relay outputs and 3 other programmable LEDs to signal the various operational status of the instrument. A second auxiliary analogue input from a current transformer and an isolated digital input available having function configurable. The serial communication option (RS-485) available and can be hooked up to protocols: Modbus RTU and Gefran Cencal. Easy programming facilities by grouping parameters and a PC programming kit is available for even simpler configuration in windows environment. The controller finds application in all industrial control application demanding compactness, simplicity and optimum process control, ie, plastic processing machine, on small furnaces, temperature control of die-casting, food processing, packaging, heat punches, cooling plants, etc.
