OTDR TEST PLATFORM

Mel Systems offers OTDR Test Platforms, FTB-400. It combines physical, optical and protocol-layer testing in a single box. The two-slot configuration is chosen for OTDR, OLTS and GigE applications, or the seven-slot configuration for dispersion characterisation (PMD and CD), DWDM testing (OSA and MWM) and protocol (SONET/ SDH)/ datacom testing. The optical switch is used for high-fibre-count testing and the modular printer for field reporting. The FTB-400 platform provides efficient/ cost-effective network installation/ maintenance/ trouble-shooting, all in a rugged, splash proof platform for streamlined field-testing. Key features include: scalable range of test applications and field-interchangeable modules, Pentium-powered, with up to 512 MB memory, easy-to-read, high-resolution 12.1 inch TFT screen, Windows 2000 OS, simultaneous acquisitions and fast data post-processing.
