Optical Rotary Encoders

A complete range of incremental and absolute encoders is available from Temec Automation, Mysore (Karnataka). Incremental encoders are available with capacities 5 up to 90,000 PPR in different sizes. These have standard quadrature signal outputs so that one can derive one, two or four times the basic resolution. There are basically three different models - EB58/EC58 and OEW series. The EB58 is a standard machine tool class encoder with 58 mm OD. The shaft diameter can be 6 or 10 mm depending up on the requirement. These encoders support high switching frequency > 300 kHz. They are built with IP67 protection class and capable of operating from -30 to 85 degree Celsius. The operating voltage can be chosen from 5 up to a maximum of 30 V DC. EC58 is quite rugged and thus permits higher amount of load. It comes with 10 mm standard shaft diameter. EB58 supports up to 10000 PPR whereas EC58 supports only up to 5000 PPR. The OEW series encoders are of smaller size with 38 mm OD and with 6 mm shaft. These are available with capacities up to 2500 PPR. EB58/EC58/OEW encoders are available in several electrical configurations such as open collector/line driver/push-pull output.
