On-load Changeover switches

On load change over switches are manually operated 4-pole electrical equipment in compact design for application in low voltage distribution circuits and motor circuits. These are used at places where continuity of supply is necessary for switching to an alternate source of supply from main supply and vice versa. All co-series switches are capable of making, carrying and breaking currents under normal circuit conditions, which may include operating over load conditions and also carrying currents under specified abnormal circuit conditions such as those of short circuit for a specified time. Features: while breaking the circuit, guaranteed sufficient air sectioning clearance; protection against over currents and short circuit fault of high rupturing capacity 80 kA; compact and standardised sizes for range 63-800 A - ideal for switch board manufactures; strong endurance and resistance to heat (tropicalised); 3 stable positions (I-0-II) and possible switching from one to the other on load, there by full filling the role of switching device with protection for two modes of supply, one from electricity board and other from standby source generator and providing back up protection; and auxiliary contacts up to 2 NO, 2 NC for signalisation, interlocking.
