Motor Protector, Microprocessor Based

R S Electronics has introduced a microprocessor based Motor Protector, suitable for all HP motors either single phase or three phase, available up to 2000 A. Using such a device with a motor will avoid burning of the motor against single phasing, reverse phasing, overload, over voltages, under voltages, etc. All parameters can be programmed at site as per customers’ requirement. The instrument has all annunciation facilities on display; and in-built auto switch as well as digital voltmeter, ammeter with auto scrolling facility. If any fault occurs and power fails, faulty conditions are stored in memory, and after power is restored the motor does not re-start unless the fault is reset. The user can also set extra wide range for set current and set voltages. It also has highly accurate tripping curve (±0.05 sec) for full range of setting of 1% for display. All can be programmed with feather touch keyboard. Serial communication port RS 485 can be provided as per customers’ requirements. These are available in 92 x 92 mm cut-out size in ABS plastic enclosure. The unit incorporates a 7-segment, red, 4-digit display having 4 keys for programming.
