Advanced Microtech offers Motor Protection Devices, m-MPD. It is of microprocessor based available in a wide range from 0.8 A to 2000 A. It provides man-machine interface through keyboard and display. It also offers extra-wide range (with single turn) to reduce the inventory and maintenance. It is available with in-built single phase (in partial load as well), phase reversal, unbalance and overload, earth fault, lock rotor, dry run. It has digital ammeter with auto scanner (settable scroll time), twenty point annunciation, more than mere annunciation, it displays the faulty phase and the value at which tripping has occurred. It is available as basic unit from 2-22 A (up to 15 HP), 4-44 A (up to 30 HP, with in-built CTs) and 40-220 A (up to 160HP), 80-440 A (up to 375 HP) and 200-1200 A (up to 800HP) with single turn, can be used for any current range by using external CTs; provides accurate overload protection by virtue of high release time accuracy; software calibration facility; simple to install with straight-through wiring; advance RS 485, serial communication port; and single source for turnkey automation.
