Simplex Engg & Foundry works manufctures 15-tonne capacity Mobile crane powered by a Hindustan G804 water cooled, high speed diesel engine producing 80 BHP at 2000 RPM. The maximum torque is 27 kgf 1449 RPM. The four cylinder engine has bore and stroke of 111.23 and 120 mm respectively, and piston displacement is 4664 cc. Other features in brief: steering - hydraulically operated through two double acting jacks; brakes - pneumatically assisted hydraulic brakes; transmission - single mesh spur gear type, with 8 forward and 2 reverse gears; clutch - dry dual type; and electrical system - 12 V -ve earth, single heavy duty battery.
