Miniature Linear Positioner

Industrial Devices Corporation, USA, has introduced a new CP3 miniature linear positioner. This positioner has a 2.63 inch x 1.75 inch cross section, and offers a leadscrew drive and non-recirculating ball or roller bearings for the smoothest available motion. It is suitable for numerous applications, including test and inspection instruments, light/ intermittent duty assembly, small part/sensor positioning, and space constrained vertical translation. It offers a black anodized finish, NEMA 23 motor mount, 1 to 5 inch travel, load capacity up to 50 lbs for horizontal motion, and vertical/axial load capacity up to 15 lbs. This positioner has bi-directional repeatability of 0.0005 inch, drive accuracy of &177;0.0005 inch/inch, and linear speed of 4 inch/sec. It has many available options including extended travel (up to 6 inches), NEMA 17 motor adapter, and linear encoders ('ITL or line driver output). Additional options include motor shaft couplings (5 mm, 0.25 inch) and limit/home sensors (hall effect type, 5-24 V). The positioners can be modified for a variety of non-standard environments including vacuum, clean room, and high/low temperatures, among others.
