Microdispensing of Liquids

Orion Automations offers a product with German technology for Microdispensing of Various Liquids, microdosing with piezo and valve-technology. Using the microdrop procedure, one can dispense extremely small amounts of fluid (picolitre) at a high degree of accuracy. The microdrop dispensing procedures are non-impact procedures. This means that the fluid is transmitted to a work piece or medium without contact being made to the dispensing nozzle. The procedure can be applied in almost all branches, from micro system technology and biotechnology right up to pharmaceutical research and production in the electronics, metal or aviation industries. The NanoJet System is applied where volumes of > 100 nl are needed. Here the liquid is carried into a dispenser head from a pressurized storage bin. The head contains a miniaturized valve and a glass nozzle. When the valve is opened the liquid is pressed through the nozzle and forms a fine jet. Compared to the MicroDrop system there is no single drop but a compact jet. The special nozzle geometry guarantees a laminar liquid flow, which results in a stable jet over a long range, which means that there is no break off into droplets. This system is capable to dispense on the spot as well. Volume variation is <5 %. Applications are for pharmaceutical, life science, micro-assemblies, lubrication on bearings, glue dispensing of very small quantities, etc. In India Orion Automations is authorised to supply and support for Microdrop products.
