Switch Control (India) offers Metal Clad Plugs & Sockets, Type S. It is specially designed for heavy load industrial applications. The outer casings are made out of non-corroding die cast aluminum alloy. It is manufactured as per international standards. Its features are: rating 10 A, 20 A, for single phase (2P+E) 230 V, 50 Hz AC; 20 A, 30 A for 3-phase (3P+E) 415 V, 50 Hz AC; in-house painting and lacquering on plug and socket enclosure surface provides better finish and longer life; deeply recessed phosphor bronze contacts in sockets for complete safety; scrapping earth connection which makes before and breaks after the main live circuit connection; at the entry of the plug plastic cable guard provides protection of incoming flexible cable; facility of self-adjustment of bronze contacts of the sockets ensure easy removal of wiring; push on protective cap to prevent dust and water ingress when the socket is not in use; non-reversible design ensures that plug can be inserted in one direction only; designed to prevent accidental human contact with plug pins while inserting or taking out the plug; plug and socket with box - in locations where the atmosphere is corrosive and contains a dust, suitable enclosures are to be used against such protections. Effective protection against over load and short circuit should be provided by mounting suitably rated MCB. These boxes are wired from inside and are suitable for portable machines, power tools, air conditioners, refrigerators, cooling and chilling cabinets, etc.
