Membrane Air-Dryers

A C Automation introduces Hoerbiger-Origa range of Membrane Air Dryers. Membrane dryers are basically more compact and cost-effective than other dryers. They need no electric power supply and can therefore be used in hazardous areas and also offer many more advantages. The switching valve is located in the purge air channel. The switching point and the residual purge airflow are harmonised in such a way that the dryness of the air at the outlet remains constant but the purge airflow is minimised. The overflow valve and pilot valve need only the compressed air itself for their actuating energy. Purge air consumption falls to about 0.5% of the nominal flow rate during non-operating periods. The residual purge airflow guarantees that the full volume of dried air is available immediately when work is resumed. In applications with typical air usage, the payback period is about two years.
