MARINE BEARINGS

Marine grade composite bearings, Feroform, are manufactured by Tenmat Ltd, UK and available in India from Apex Precision Agencies. These bearings are specially developed for wear resistance and stability with oil or water lubrication, making them ideal for underwater applications, such as on propeller shafts and rudder bearings. Due to the reduced maintenance and improved reliability, these bearings provide reduced operating costs and extended lifetime of the bearings. Components have excellent strength, durability and wear resistant characteristics even in abrasive conditions. They are also used onshore typically for crane pivots, offshore for applications, such as pump bushes, thrust washers and cooling plant filter plates. Computer-based design expertise allows correct size of the components to be calculated quickly and manufactured and fitted in the shortest possible time. The marine bearings are used on all classes of seagoing and inland waterway vessels, including naval warships, petrol vessels, auxiliaries, submarines, and tankers bulk carriers, etc.
