Lobe pump

Valfit Engineers offers lobe pump, which is a positive displacement pump. The operating principle involves specially designed lobes, travelling in annular shaped lobe housing machined in pump body. The large fluid gravities of the rotors in the pump plus the large easy entry anti-cavitation port allow efficient pumping of high viscosity fluids, slurries or even liquids with large particles with relative case. Unique features of the pump: the pump incorporates rotors, made of non corrosive material SS 316 which can be run with close clearance to the SS 316 fluid head without seizing. The close clearance and the rotary geometry mean low slip operation resulting in high efficiency metering capability, good flow control, no sliding contact or rolling contact and no rotor to rotor contact, resulting in maximum service life even under severe operating conditions. Wide range of applicability such as bakery, beverage, canning, confectionary, cosmetics, dairy and pharmaceutical, cover plates and impellers may be quickly removed for easy cleaning and inspection. An obvious requirement for sanitary application this feature makes the pump valuable in industrial application, manual control bypass arrangement is provided. Compact construction reduction weight and installation space, pump and gear housing separated no risk of oil mixing with product. Easy removal of bearings, gears reduce down time for maintenance.
