Linear scales and rotary encoders

Goodwin Electronics manufactures linear scales and rotary encoders that are suitable for presses, machine tools and any application, which requires reliability and accuracy. Two types of linear scales are available: high quality tape scales, employing stainless steel punch tape, provide a resolution of 0.25 mm while for high levels of precision Goodwin offers a range of very accurate stainless steel etched tapes with resolution as fine as 0.5 micron. A comprehensive rotary encoder range embraces incremental and absolute types. Incremental models offer various output and shaft configurations, while absolute encoders feature either GRAY scale BCD or binary outputs. With either type virtually any requirement can be met, including through shaft mounting. Goodwin also offers a complementary range of flexible couplings, interface cables and accessories.
