Limit Switch

Endress + Hauser offers Liquiphant T, a universally applicable limit switch, for level detection of liquids in storage tanks, process tanks and piping. This low cost, standard switch designed to withstand difficult conditions can also be used in systems where other measuring principles cannot be used, eg, for paste build-up, turbulent liquid flow, liquids with gas bubbles and rapid temperature variations when cleaning. It enables maximum and minimum detection in tanks and vessels containing liquids with temperatures between 40C and 150C, viscosity of 10,000 cST and minimum density of 0.5 g/cm . The patented piezo-drive for vibrating forks is insensitive to outside vibrations (eg, pumps). The rugged, corrosion-resistant synthetic housing features IP 66 protection and the optional HALAR covering to a sensor length up to 6000 mm ensures application in corrosive liquids. The switch can be used to avoid the dry run of pumps, the operating limits are hardly restricting. It is maintainenance-free and has no moving parts. For that reason it makes a universal solution for all types of level control in liquid and viscous products.
