Dresser Masoneilan offers its Series 12300 Smart digital level transmitter With Hart Communication protocol based on the proven liquid displacement and torque tube principle. A hand-held communicator and three pushbuttons with a digital display offer the operator the choice to communicate either remotely or locally with the instrument. This highly reliable instrument offers proven technology (installation flexbility and excellent stability), simple calibration and set-up (calibration with or without fluid, independent non-interactive zero and span), smart features (smart filter, adjustable low and high level alarms, adjustable failsafe output signal, continuous data recording, software ambient temperature compensation), non-contacting frictionless sensor, etc. The instrument offers ±.5% accuracy, 0.3% hysteresis, 0.2% repeatability and 0.1% dead band, and is available in ANSI Class 150 to 2500 and a variety of materials. The standard torque tube is suitable for all applications up to 150°C beyond which an extended torque tube design is offered. Retrofit of analogue electronic and pneumatic instruments is possible by replacing the head. Possible product enhancements at a later date include full featured controller and fieldbus communication protocol.
