Colchestersales offers Lathes, Tornado T8MSY. It is a six-axis Lathe with Y-axis cross-feed to the 12 station, driven tool turret. It achieves Heavy duty milling and drilling and higher levels of "one-hit" machining. The bi-axis slide arrangement that runs on linear ways at 90° to the cross-slide of the machine, provides a stroke length of ± 40 mm either side of centre line. Rapid traverse rate of the axis is 10 m/min. The Fanuc 18i-TB control with Manual Guide is common to the five-axis driven tool Tornado that was originally specified to incorporate future development of the machine. The T8MSY incorporates a 170 mm chuck size, 7.5 kW, 5,000 revs/min subspindle with fully programmable B-axis that provides a "one-hit" machining strategy with automatic synchronised part transfer from the main spindle at 30 m/min to effectively reduce machining cycle times. The main spindle is powered by 22 kW, 5,000 revs/min drive with swing over the bed of 510 mm, a 300 mm maximum turned diameter by 540 mm turning length. Bar capacity is 66 mm diameter. The 12-station Sauter turret has 12 driven tool positions powered by 3.7 kW, 4,000 revs/min motor and is able to accommodate tooling having up to 20 mm shank size.
