Star Machine Tools manufactures Lathes Machines. It is with an accuracy of 5 to 10 micron in ovality. The bed is a rigid casting of close grain alloy cast iron of Brinell hardness 200 ±10 to damp vibrations. Features: all castings are seasoned for 12-18 months of stress relieving; head stock is equipped with helical gears and taper roller bearings; the spindle is of carbon steel with automatic reverse and lubricated gears; the saddle is mounted on vice surface on the bed; the cross slide ensures solid tool support and provides for a rear mounted tooling; the tail stock is of rigid design with a large diameter ground spindle and screws and rests on a separate prismatic guideway on the bed; quick change Norton type gearbox provides 36 feed and a wide range of Whitworth threads. Accessories: face plate, chuck plate, dead centres moving steady, stationary steady (excluding 4"-1/ 2" and 5") motor attachment , thread indicator, dead centre adopter and tool post bolt spanner.
