Metallica offers super precision high speed jig grinders with energy saving construction with small sized compressor (min 1/2", max 2 horse power) that consumes very little amount of air. The Planet mechanism made in pursuit of absolute quietness provides noiseless operation never attainable in others. Functions for higher cost performance, turns a milling machine into a jig grinding machine simply by attaching a generally available boring head and Planet series. May be used as a precision internal grinder by attaching it to a lathe. Tools generally available (shaft diameter (1.6, ( 2.35, ( 3.0, ( 3.17, ( 6.0, ( 6.35) may be used for an end tool: special tools are also available. It can be used for the high speed rotating portions of various kinds of specialized machine. It may be used with the boring head available. Suitable for grinding of deep holes; processing of up to 60 mm deep hole with inner diameter of more than 14 mm. Capable of grinding of inner diameter from min 3.0 mm to max 70 mm. Standard collet chucks in 3.0 and 6.0 mm; optional collet chucks are available in (1.0, (1.6, ( 2.0, (2.35, (3.17, ( 4.0, ( 5.0 and ( 6.35. Grindstone shank for deep holes is available in 40 mm, 50 mm and 60 mm. Easy replacement of chuck and grindstone shank. A maximum air efficiency design, for outstandingly high torque.
