The energy saver equipment is a simple solution to reduce energy bills. Powerboss is a digital, thyristor based, microprocessor-controlled device. It is fully solid state with no moving parts, thereby ensuring trouble free performance, suitable for all types of AC induction motors.Powerboss can provide immediate and lasting benefits including: soft start, optimisation, soft stop, improved power factor, lower maximum demand, improved reliability and increased production; and reduction in energy costs by 15% to 40% and increased efficiency of the motor. Powerboss is unique by the extent to which it dynamically adjusts power to the motor as the load changes. It constantly monitors the motor at the load demand and delivers the exact power required to do the job thus avoiding wastage of energy. Salient features: reduced inrush and starting current of electrical motors; reduced wear on electrical equipment and motor windings; allows more frequent starting and stopping of motors; smooth stepless acceleration reducing stresses on mechanical transmission; variable ramp up and ramp down times; reduced peak demand and improved power factor; and speedy payback with saved energy.
