Amtech Electronics (India) is engaged in the motion control, automation, power quality and industrial electronics business. With JetNode technology the network becomes the controller; this is emphasized by the most advanced software and hardware technologies: distributed intelligence: automation technology’s own internet, networked via Ethernet, integrated internet technologies, controller, drive and HMI are all linked by one device and by the same software, programmed in graphic flow chart language, object-based programming, connection to databases, JetNode is more than a controller: it is a technology that introduced a paradigm shift in control technology. JetNode is a modular automation system consisting of controllers, drive systems, HMIs, industrial PCs and automation software. All these components together form a totally cohesive system – across the entire machine or across the entire production line. These are controller systems for distributed applications in the area of mechanical and plant engineering. The use of Ethernet as communication medium makes it possible – for the first time – to connect directly to the administration and management level IT infrastructure. Communication between network participants, too, takes place through Ethernet TCP/IP. In this way, several individual machines can be combined to form a production plant. This enables the programmer to integrate all devices without having to define communication in a master controller. Due to this “horizontal integration”, it is now possible to expand production plants by means of the auto-adaptation method. Another big advantage of JetNode 24x systems is their modular structure, i.e., the distinction between basic devices and expansion modules.
