Metequip Engineers offers a range of industrial fuses from SIBA Sicherungen-Bau Gmbh, Germany. It manufactures a wide range of fuses of different types to cover the entire spectrum of industries, and specialises in ultra rapid fuses for semi-conductor protection, high-tension fuses as well as low voltage HRC fuses. In addition, it manufactures several fuses for specialised applications like miniature fuses for instruments, fuses for mining applications and so on. The ultra rapid "UR" types of fuses for semi-conductor protection are manufactured using the "Quasadur" quenching system. These fuses find wide applications in automation, variable speed drives, traffic control and other applications. The "Quasadur" manufacturing technique ensures low let through currents, low I 2t values and low thermal load on fuse and component. Furthermore, the company"s ultra rapid fuses are extremely suitable for high cyclic loading because of their special "Cyclocont" melting element design. Also available are "HH" type high voltage back-up and general purpose fuse links with temperature limiters for protection of indoor switchgear and outdoor pole transformer stations, high voltage motors, voltage transformers and capacitors. Because of the integrated temperature limiter, SIBA high voltage fuses are extremely suitable for modern SF6 insulated switchgear. The range also includes "BB" type fuses for underground mining, "M" type fuses for use on ships and "E" type "F" type and "AC" type corresponding to British, French and American/Canadian standards (UL /CSA approved). "V" type fuses tailor-made for special applications like operation with DC traction, etc, are also available to meet customer"s specific requirements.
