Acu-Rite Scan Inspection Systems Company supplies a new light table model, high quality and high performance illuminated magnifier. This combines the best of mechanical construction with superb lighting and optical performance. The large diameter precision lens offers distortion-free binocular viewing, an essential requirement both for work and inspection. The lens is designed for strain-free vision, even if continuously used. A circular fluorescent tube offers high intensity lighting of day light colour. The circular shape eliminates shadows from the object under inspection. Due to the cold lighting provided, there is no discomfort from heat or reflected glare both usual when using filament lamps for local lighting. An additional parallel lens, which can be swivelled into place under the main lens, when required, is provided as an option. This lens is very useful for inspection of a particular area of interest for high magnification.
