IC sockets

IC sockets from Protectron Electromech (P) Ltd, Bangalore, accommodate IC pins of 0.43 mm diameter or 0.25 x 0.45 mm2 flat pins. These end-to-end and side-to-side stackable sockets do not require solder vicking. The pitch is of 2.54 mm and pin insertion depth is of 3.2 mm minimum. Number of contacts range from 6-64. Single-in-line, dual-in-line, shrink dip, capacitor type, ultra flat, super flat, quad-in-line, and conversion sockets are the types available. Solder pin, 2 level/3 level wire wrap, adaptor pin, bifurcated pin, and solder cup pin are the kinds of terminals offered. The material used include glass filled polyester for insulator, brass sleeve with Beryllium copper spring for pin and the plating is of gold or tin.
