Hot Runner Systems

Dydac hot runners are built from 1 to 2 x 48 cavities. The manifold is designed with melt channels of equal length and size to ensure uniform cavity filling. Part weight, full time, material type and frequency of colour change are other processing variable factored into the hot runner design. The manifold plate is pocketed to closely fit the shape of the manifold. This minimises mould plate deflection. Benefits: the hot-melt nozzle system is designed to keep the melt channel of the nozzle at a uniform operating temperature. A wide variety of gate designs (7 standards plus options) makes the hot-melt nozzle system suitable for most applicable. The system is designed to offer a 2.5% variation of the melt temperature long the whole length of the hot runner system melt channel. The guarantee is given when the hot runner system is operating under normal conditions. The system can be used with a whole range of materials including PBT and PVC and eliminates the problems associated with heat witness marks around the gate area.
