HORIZONTAL MULTI-SPINDLE DRILLING MACHINE

Bombay Machines manufactures Horizontal Multi-Spindle Drilling Machines. It is suitable for mass production of large size components like engine blocks, housings, etc. The machine has 32 spindle cartridges mounted on needle cum thrust bearings. Two motors of 3.7 Kw power each drive the spindles through imported universal joints and telescopic shafts. All the spindles have adjustable adaptors having MT1 taper. The spindle cluster plate area is 800 x 400 mm; and component-loading area is 900 x 500 x 400 mm. The drilling slide is operated by hydraulic cylinder with 300 mm stroke. Component clamping can be made to suit the component. Manual or hydraulic clamping can be provided. Machine construction is simple and easy for maintenance. Since the spindle position can be made to suit the component hole locations, the machine does not become redundant in case of any change in hole positions. Single large or two medium sized components can be drilled in one pass. Machines for fixed hole positions like flanges and couplings are also available.
