HIGH SPEED CUTTING TECHNOLOGY WITH SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR SPINDLE

Precise High Speed Spindle Service Centre offers High Speed Cutting Technology with synchronous motor spindle. A high speed spindle system is a complex system consisting of spindle, converter, coolant system, lubrication system of the bearing, etc. The philosophy is to deliver the complete system from one source. This reduces the efforts of the client to search for various accessories and it avoids the usage of non-compatible devices or wrong programming of the converter which would create motor failure. Main advantage of high speed spindle system is higher speeds, which relates to the efficiency. When using higher speeds, the feed rates will be higher which increases the productivity, other benefits are: better surface quality - less polish work by hand-reduced re-work; heat is transferred through the chips - no deflection of work-piece due to the thermal effects, longer tool life; and reduced forces - no bending of the work-piece, thin walls can be produced. A new type of synchronous motor spindle is available: SD 5084. This combines small dimensions and high torque. A peak torque of up to 6 Nm ( S1 4 Nm) is available over the whole speed range of 500-20,000 1/min. The nominal power of 8 kW at 20,000 1/min is realised in a housing dia of 80 mm. This power density can only be reached by the usage of the synchronous motor. This spindle offers tool interface HSK E32 for fully automatic tool change.
